Happy 2013 and Resolutions

Another year has come and gone, remarkable how the time goes by so quickly I feel like it was just summer and now there is a load of snow on the ground! It's been lovely meeting some new blogland friends, as well as keeping in touch with with old ones, and my real life friends. My friends are important to me and I'm blessed to have the cream of the crop!

Back on the 1 Jan 2010 I wrote my feelings about resolutions. Rather than repeat myself you can read them here. I still do the same thing, living very serendipitously (makes things so much more fun, and brings the most amazing things in your life!) Sure I plan, but I do allow the "happy accidents" to flow, even if they don't seem so happy at the time (although usually wind up being just what I needed.)

This year I have an actual resolution. Yep. Silly but its one I've already started working on. I've always loved languages, pick them up easily (though can't always pull the correct words out when I need them). I also swear worse than anyone. I call it freedom of speech (; And over the years I've learned to swear in over a dozen languages. I plan to at least double that this year.

So if you speak a language other than english, and would like to share some good cuss words with me, please do! I guess phonetically would be best, since online I can't hear your accent and inflections. You can either post here, if you follow me on FB there, or send me a private email so you don't "out" yourself as a toilet mouth like me!

Now a little something for all my friends both in real life and online. You're all so important to me even though I sometimes get tangled up and forget to say it.

Okay sounds a little depressing, but he is saying how he'll stick by his friends no matter what. Which is what I do. You have to be pretty toxic for me to remove you from my life as a friend! There is also this lovely bit:
"I heard a little girl
And what she said
Was something beautiful
To give your love no matter what
And what she said

(Chorus)
I love all of you
Hurt by the cold
So hard and lonely too
When you don't know yourself"

Many of us have had to go through too much heartache due to recent disasters, and I thought this was appropriate as to me its a song of hope, real friendship, and love.

Happy 2013, may you be as blessed as I with friendship and love. Buona Fortuna!

  4. haha cusswords are great, i´m austrian people here don´t swear to much, well me excluded, i say scheiße (sometimes verfickte scheme;) y hurendreck at least 10 times a day, not because i´m an impolite person just because i want to get all negative things out of me, but it´s still not nice, so when i came to spain i felt so free, because people there are like me swearing all day long without the intention to insult anybody just to get rid off negative energy ;) "joder" and "me cago en la leche" is something you will hear from all social classes, well i also think it´s very funny as "me cago en la leche" means i shit in the milk haha
darling i wish you all the best for 2013!

    1. People don't swear a lot in Austria? My my... I'm presuming Austrian German is nearly the same as regular German and pretty much everything sounds dirty in German! Shiße is one of my favs! I know a few kind of tame ones in German (all having to do with being an ass) but funny none the less. I just like swearing, and if it's in another language at least I feel like it's not insulting I'm just letting off steam! I love the Spanish one, I think I knew a similar one in Italian... but all the Italian swear words I were taught were "American" Italian, which makes no bloody sense because it's so bastardized. Oh you just reminded me, when we went to Mexico (also came in handy for Barcelona) I found a book called something like "the Spanish no one will teach you" it was brilliant! Thanks for a fun start to my day and stopping by! XXX

  5. Haha, great resolution! I also enjoy some colourful language from different countries and get my mates to teach me. My two favourites are:

Me cargo en la puta madre que te pario (excuse spelling) which I believe translates from Spanish as 'I shit on the whore of a mother who gave birth to you'

and the Russian phonetically 'Chop is dish' which I am told means something along the lines of 'what the fuck are you c*nting about?' ie. You're lying/talking shite.

    I'm a classy girl, me.

    Happy new Year!
    xx

    1. Somehow I knew you would enjoy this one! I know (somewhere in my brain) a similar one to the Spanish but in Italian, and thank you for the Russian, its my second new swear in a foreign language! There is a similar sounding one in Polish, that I was told meant "fuck off you stupid ass", came in handy when we lived in a Polish neighbourhood and they wouldn't speak english or serve me because i wasn't Polish!

Hey, we're both classy! It's such a fun, naughty little pastime, no? XXX

YAY you've now got me up two more languages! Another 9 or so to go and I'll have reached my goal for the year, haha! XXX
